Welcome!
Since 2023, I have been a research associate in the Chair of Business Information Systems | Software & AI Business at Technical University of Darmstadt. Prior to that, I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering with a technical specialization in Mechanical Engineering at Technical University of Darmstadt. In addition, I gained practical experience in IT consulting.
In my research, I examine how emerging technologies—particularly artificial intelligence and the metaverse—are transforming organizations and work. One focus is the future of work and the question of how collaboration can be designed in digital and immersive work environments. I am interested both in the design and implementation of such technologies and in the conditions under which their use is successful—especially in high-risk environments where safety, reliability, and accountability are particularly important.
Methodologically, I primarily use Design Science Research to develop and systematically evaluate design approaches, artifacts, and design principles (e.g., concepts, prototypes, or guidelines). I also use qualitative interview studies to capture the perspectives and decision-making processes of relevant stakeholders and to identify success factors for implementation and use. As a next step, I aim to expand my research to include field studies and experimental designs in order to test design approaches in real organizational contexts and to investigate, in lab and online experiments, which mechanisms influence technology use and collaboration in AI and metaverse settings.
