Welcome! I am an assistant professor and candidate for habilitation at the Software & Digital Business Group of the Technical University of Darmstadt. I received a bachelor's degree in Business Informatics from the Technical University of Darmstadt and a master's degree in Business Informatics with specialization in Data & Web Science from the University of Mannheim. Parallel to my bachelor’s and master’s studies, I gained several years of experience in various areas at SAP (e.g., data science; analytics and IoT consulting) in Germany and in the Silicon Valley in the USA. During my PhD studies at the Technical University of Darmstadt, I focused on the impact of human-AI collaboration on organizations. After a research visit at the renowned University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, I started my habilitation at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

With my research, I strive to help understand how artificial intelligence changes organizations in virtuous and vicious ways, with a special focus on collaborations between human and artificial intelligence and their emergent dynamics in organizations. To this end, I focus on (1) the use of artificial intelligence in organizations and its impact on organizational efficiency and effectiveness, (2) data-driven innovation and ideation processes, and (3) machine learning and data science methods.

Methodologically, I prefer to pursue a rather explorative approach, hoping to inspire others and stimulate novel exciting endeavors in research and practice. Currently, my studies involve a stronger focus on (1) computationally intensive theory construction (e.g., simulations and digital trace analyses) and (2) qualitative interview studies.
